What are the best lights for growing plants indoors?
I need a little light for the start pulses, and also to grow within Venus. I have tried to fluorescent, but I can not get to grow bulbs in 8 'length. Metal halide Could be the best option? Also There is the danger of metal halide bulbs explosion after they get older? What about high pressure metal halide are better these regular metal halide?
If you are looking to grow within the regular indoor plants then it is not necessary to "grow" bulbs, try to find cool and warm fluorescent and an alternate in your ballasts. This also applies to the vegetative state as "special" indoor plants. But you want something more powerful for the flowering period, if you are interested in dense resinous "flowers." Typically metal halide (blue) been used for veg, but a lot of fluorescent works fine (keep the bulbs VERY close to the plants, almost touching). HPS is what you mean with the other type (sodium high pressure), it is a "red" light and more simulates what the sun does in late summer, early fall. You are looking at a pretty high increase in your electric bill with the high discharge power vegetable. Not to mention the cost is high to start and get very hot. E-mail for more information but not anyone else to read. PS There is a news article on aol about a boy who posted photos of their plants and weapons in their myspace that somehow I have tracked down and arrested. I want you to know that I'm not in anything illegal and I welcome any officers over a cup of tea. I do not think that a samurai sword collection is illegal.
